Why is booking Sofwave in Seoul its own decision?
Seoul is where most foreign patients in Korea are treated, and dermatology is the department they visit most. Korea’s Ministry of Health and Welfare counted 2.01 million foreign patients in 2025, 87.2% of them treated in Seoul; dermatology made up 62.9% of the ministry’s count by department (Ministry of Health and Welfare press release, 24 April 2026, checked 18 October 2026). That means plenty of choice, and plenty of price boards that look alike.
Sofwave also suits a visit. The manufacturer says most people need one session and that the result develops over about 12 weeks, by which time you are usually home. In a study of 42 Asian patients, redness and swelling after treatment had resolved by the follow-up visits[1]. Good planning covers both the day in the clinic and the months after it.
Where should you start?
- Choose the clinic: who examines you, who treats you, and how to compare two or three options fairly.
- Check device information: ask about the label, applicator and treatment documentation, and understand what each check can establish.
- Read the quote: what a written Sofwave price in Seoul should name, from areas to applicator to follow-up.
- Compare Sofwave and HIFU evidence: what the upper-arm trial assessed, its limits, and questions for a consultation.
- Prepare for treatment day: timeline, numbing, discomfort and what to ask for before you leave.
- Follow the result: when change shows, simple aftercare, and how to judge the result from home.
